Alcudia Travel Information

With seven miles of gently shelving sands, Alcudia boasts the largest expanse of sand in Majorca, dotted with sand dunes and pine trees, and leading to crystal clear waters. The modern town is built around a network of lakes and canals, a medieval quarter and an old quayside with some terrific bars and restaurants. The old fishing port and walled city built by the Moors features a 600 year-old gate leading to a warren of tiny streets. There are Roman ruins, an amphitheatre and a busy Sunday market. From nearby Pollensa water taxis take day-trippers to Formentor - the most dramatic and scenic part of Majorca’s north coast. This is a fantastic resort for families with plenty of watersports and a water theme park to entertain kids of all ages. Beach lovers will also love Alcudia, which is very relaxing in low season, although much livelier in high season.
